Farewell but never goodbye
What a wonderful way to end!
The Year 12s enjoyed a range of activities this last week to celebrate the end of their secondary schooling.
A heartfelt farewell to our wonderful Year 12s! Creativity, gratitude and a wonderful sense of fun shone through as our Year 12s celebrated their final week of classes at Huntingtower.
From imaginative headpieces to stylishly reworked uniforms covered in messages from friends and teachers, their creative flair brought colour and personality to a week full of meaning. Beneath the lighthearted celebrations was a deep appreciation for the friendships, teachers and shared experiences that have shaped their school years.
A rousing rendition of Stand By Me on Snowden Oval captured the spirit of the farewell: joyful togetherness, tinged with the emotion of leaving a much-loved community. Their Final Assembly brought that same warmth to the wider school, as extraordinary talent met heartfelt expressions of love and thanks.
The Valedictory Dinner provided a fitting close, with inspiring speeches from joint Valedictorians Elle and Oscar reflecting the warmth and gratitude that had characterised the week.
We farewell this cohort with affection and pride, thanking them for all they have contributed to Huntingtower. As they prepare for their exams and the opportunities beyond, they take with them our warmest wishes and an enduring place in our community.
Huntingtower would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
