Enrolment Process
Thank you for considering Huntingtower School for your child.
Huntingtower is a Prep to Year 12 Co-Educational School located in Mount Waverley, Victoria. We offer students from a diverse range of backgrounds a holistic education founded on the values of kindness, respect and excellence that caters for their individual interests.
Our key intake for the Senior School is Year 7 and Prep and Year 5 for the Junior School. We accept applications for all year levels in the Junior School as vacancies may arise on occasion. We welcome all enquiries.
Current Enrolment Update
Applications and waiting lists have closed for Year 7 - 2027, Year 7 - 2028 and Year 7 - 2029.
An Expression of Interest for Year 8 - 12 for 2027 is open.
Applications and waiting lists have closed for Junior School - 2027 and Junior School - 2028. Waiting lists for entry to the Junior School - 2029 are now open.
Enrolment Windows
- For our Junior School intake (Prep - Year 6): waiting lists open at the beginning of Term 3 each year. The waiting list remains open until the end of Term 4.
- For our Year 7 intake: waiting lists open at the beginning of Term 1 each year for children who are commencing Year 4. The waiting list will remain open until the end of Term 2 of the same year they open.
- Please note: An application does not guarantee your child a place, however it does ensure they are added to the waiting list and considered for their desired year of entry.
Application Process
Ready to enrol? We are thrilled that you are considering Huntingtower School for your child's educational journey. Our Head of Admissions will support you from your initial enquiry through to your child’s first day at school. Please follow the steps below to begin your journey with us.
Book a Campus Tour
Join us on a campus tour to see our facilities and learn about our programs. If tours are fully booked, please contact our Head of Admissions at admissions@huntingtower.vic.edu.au for future tour dates. Please note, shortlisted families for the Junior School (Prep - Year 6) will be invited for a specific tour of the Junior School.
Submit an Application
Before completing the Application for Enrolment, please ensure you have on hand: • Your child’s birth certificate • Year 3 semester 1 and 2 school reports (for Year 7 entry) • Year 3 NAPLAN report (for Year 7 entry) • Any relevant academic, developmental, and medical assessment reports • Copy of passport (if one has been issued and neither parent was born in Australia) You will also be asked to pay a non-refundable Application Fee of $150 (inc GST). Please note that submitting this application for enrolment does not guarantee an interview opportunity.
Attend an Interview
The School will invite the prospective student and their parents to attend a pre-enrolment interview with the Principal or their delegate. For families seeking entry to Prep, this interview will be approximately 12 to 18 months prior to admission. For families seeking entry to Year 7, interviews will be conducted approximately 2 years in advance. Please note: The interview process is not a guarantee of a place.
Review
After interview and subsequent review, our Head of Admissions will then be in touch to advise of the outcome of your application.
Enrolment Acceptance
Successful applicants will receive a written offer of enrolment. To secure the place, families must: • Complete the Acceptance of Enrolment Form within the specified time frame and pay the non-refundable enrolment fee of $1,500 for the first student and $1,200 for siblings subsequently enrolled.
Age Requirements
To commence Prep in Term 1, children must turn five by 30 April in their year of entry.
