At Huntingtower, lessons are student-focused and interactive while providing differentiation for every child. The focus of learning is on nurturing students' capabilities for critical thinking , applying their knowledge and skills often to real-world scenarios. Feedback and student agency are central to the learning experience. 

The curriculum at Huntingtower draws from the Australian Curriculum. Junior School students learn from specialist teachers in Science, Art, Music, and Sport. While in the Senior School, curated pathways support a broad and diverse VCE / VET program at Years 11 and 12. Throughout their education, students learn with curiosity and insight, with extension and support available.

Huntingtower is one of Melbourne’s top-ranking academic schools. Its VCE and NAPLAN results are outstanding and reflect the Huntingtower ethos of giving of our best to all that we do. Huntingtower students love learning. They understand that as the children of God they have no limits.

Students from Huntingtower learn how to express themselves with confidence and clarity. The vast majority of students across the School compete in team debating competitions, legal mooting events and public speaking contests locally, nationally and internationally learning how to engage with an audience and speak with conviction.

The wellbeing of every student is our prime concern at Huntingtower. Students who feel valued, connected and cared for are in the best position to bring energy and enthusiasm to their learning. Huntingtower’s pastoral care and transition programs are extremely important. The programs aim to build a sense of belonging and enhance self-esteem and resilience.

There is a close connection between leadership and service; students who choose to both lead by example and serve others discover they have the skills needed to contribute to the community in a variety of meaningful ways. Leadership programs that link our school to local and international groups are encouraged and supported.

Creativity and culture are cornerstones at Huntingtower. All students are encouraged to take an active part in our arts program through music, drama, visual arts, languages or a combination of these. Our vibrant instrumental music program provides opportunities to join choirs, chamber choirs, orchestras, concert and stage bands, and brass, woodwind and string ensembles.

Sport is an integral part of life at Huntingtower. Every student participates in House sporting competitions, while our EISM program offers exciting opportunities to compete against other schools. Popular initiatives such as HT Heat Basketball and HT Swim Club enable students to develop their skills, represent the School and enjoy the camaraderie of team sport.
