Years 10 - 12 Applications
Huntingtower is an Early Learning to Year 12 Co-Educational School located in Mount Waverley, Victoria. We offer students from a diverse range of backgrounds a holistic education founded on the values of kindness, respect and excellence that caters for their individual interests. Huntingtower accepts international applications for entry into the Secondary School (Years 10 – 12) where places are available only.
Student Requirements
Huntingtower is unable to accept any student transferring from another Australian school within their first six months of study. Huntingtower does not accept students that would be under 13 years of age at the time of their commencement. Students must reside with a parent or DHA approved relative as Huntingtower does not accept Homestay living arrangements.
All students applying for a place at Huntingtower who do not have English as their first language are required to sit an AEAS assessment test. This test can be completed either in Australia or in the student’s country of origin. The AEAS test should be completed within 12 months of submitting your application. AEAS test results provide detail regarding the student’s proficiency in English and is one of the measures of a candidate’s suitability. The table below is a guide for scores for entry.

Please note:
The Australian Government requires that all international students holding student visas must have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for their student visa and stay in Australia. Please refer to the Department of Home Affairs for all relevant information. It is the responsibility of applicants to purchase OSHC prior to commencing the online visa application and provide evidence of the policy and cover dates to Huntingtower prior to commencement.

International Student Enrolment Process
If you would like to apply to enrol at Huntingtower as an international student, please follow these steps.
Registration
Parent(s) are to contact Huntingtower’s Head of Admissions to check enrolment availability and request an Overseas Enrolment Application. Please ensure you have: • Copy of the student’s passport or birth certificate • Notarised copy of the student’s most recent school report (original and translated); students applying to enter a specific year level must have successfully completed the year prior to entry or equivalent • Relevant supporting documentation, including medical information This form is completed and returned to our Admissions team with a $300 non-refundable registration fee and all required documentation including a copy of AEAS results. Parents need to complete one form per child. IMPORTANT: Acceptance of your registration will place your child on our waitlist – this DOES NOT guarantee an enrolment; places are in extremely high demand and offered according to waitlist priorities and at the Principal’s discretion.
Review
The Enrolment Team will review the Application form and supporting information to determine whether the student meets the entry requirements to study at Huntingtower. Application assessment cannot commence until all required documents are received – to avoid unnecessary delays, ensure all required documents are provided. This includes completion of an AEAS English Language test.
Interview
Once the student has reached English Language Proficiency requirements, they are invited to attend an enrolment interview with the Principal. We require a minimum AEAS score of 70 (upper intermediate) and stanine score of 5 (average) to attend a pre-enrolment interview. The English Language School (ELICOS) Report will form part of this assessment. Additional school-based testing in Mathematics and English may be required.
Provisional Offer
If there is a place available and all documentation is received, the School will issue a Provisional Letter of Offer and invoice for fees payable. Offers are conditional upon the student reaching the required English proficiency.
Acceptance of Provisional Offer
To accept the terms and conditions of the Provisional Offer, a signed written agreement and full payment of the invoice must be received within 14 days. Please ensure you retain a copy of the written agreement and payment receipt.
Confirmation of Provisional Enrolment
Following receipt of the acceptance letter and payment, you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) Letter.
Applying for a Student Visa
Orientation and Commencement
New student orientation programs are organised for all new students. They are tailored to each Year level (Campus) and have a focus on familiarising new students with the School, its programs, other students in the Year level and school routines. We also offer additional International Student Orientation programs to provide more intensive and individualised information covering many of the aspects of studying, not only in a new school, but also a new education system and country. These programs are designed to help students fully participate in the academic and co-curricular programs offered by the School and help create a smooth transition. New students are given information about the School’s support services and have the opportunity to meet the staff who can provide academic and wellbeing support. Students also learn about the structure of the School, study courses, expectations, learning goals and outcomes.
Student Welfare & Care
Huntingtower offers extensive support for international students, including a student Mentor, Head of House, Head of Wellbeing and an International Student Coordinator. Student Welfare Counsellors are also available for wellbeing and emotional support.

Our child safe policies, strategies and practices are inclusive of the needs of all students.
ESOS Legislative Framework
The Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, or ESOS Act, establishes legislative requirements and standards for the quality assurance of education and training institutions offering courses to international students who are in Australia on a student visa.
