Year 7 and 8 marks the beginning of the Secondary School journey at Huntingtower, a time of new experiences, growing independence and expanding horizons. 

These important years provide students with the opportunity to build strong foundations for learning, develop meaningful friendships and discover their place within a vibrant and supportive school community. Students engage in a broad and challenging curriculum that encourages curiosity, creativity and critical thinking.

Starting Secondary School is an exciting milestone, and at Huntingtower our transition program begins well before the first day to ensure every student feels confident, connected and supported.

Building Strong Foundations

Year 7 & 8 Curriculum

Years 7 and 8 provide students with a broad and engaging curriculum that supports their transition into Secondary School while laying the foundations for future learning. Through Project Based Learning, core subjects and a range of elective experiences in Technology, the Arts and STEM, students develop knowledge, confidence and curiosity as they discover their interests, strengths and potential.
