When you visit Huntingtower, you will be warmly welcomed by our wonderful students and staff. Our magnificent gardens and grounds provide a tranquil environment where everyone can thrive.
The spiritual foundation of our school is evident in every aspect of our community. Though we do not teach religion specifically, we emphasise a values-based approach in all our activities. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing a desire to learn and be a beneficial presence. What unites Huntingtower is a belief in the boundless potential within all of us, nurtured by the right environment, values and beliefs.
Our motto, “Nosce te Ipsum” or “Know thy true self,” highlights the importance of self-awareness, empathy and personal reflection in overcoming challenges. Guided by our golden rule, ‘to always be kind in all ways,’ we encourage consideration for others and deep self-understanding.
Through strong values, dedicated staff and high expectations, Huntingtower consistently achieves excellent academic results, placing us among the most successful schools in Victoria. We have an exemplary music program and diverse co-curricular offerings, providing numerous sporting and cultural opportunities, including a rich outdoor education program.
Our 2024 theme, "Uplifting Thought," reflects our commitment to excellence both individually and as a community. By uplifting our thoughts, we create an environment where everyone can excel and develop their unique talents.
It has been an honour for me to be associated with Huntingtower for the past 18 years, and I warmly invite you to discover what makes our school truly special.
Shan Christensen
Principal
At Huntingtower, every individual is viewed as an unlimited expression or spiritual reflection of God. Christian values form the basis of our school. The beliefs that are engendered through encouraging optimism and positive reflection create attitudes that ensure success.
Huntingtower would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
