DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES

From early on, both Junior and Senior School students have access to a wide range of devices and operating systems, including iPads, Surface Pros, desktop PCs, laptops and Apple Macs. All students experience a range of existing and emerging technologies - from basic word processing to robotics, programming, virtual and augmented reality, video editing and more.

In addition to school-provided computers, Surfaces and iPads, there are two 1:1 technology programs in place at Huntingtower:

IPAD & SURFACE PROGRAM

Students from Years 4 - 9 love our iPad Program where each student is provided with an iPad for school use. The iPad offers different methods of education not available on a traditional laptop and an extra level of creativity – both important aspects of Upper Junior and Middle Years schooling.

Starting with the Year 7 cohort for 2020, Years 7 - 9 students will be transitioning to Microsoft Surface Pro devices which can be used both as a touch-screen tablet or a laptop, offering a range of experiences for students' learning.

BYOL PROGRAM

To facilitate the best academic and VCE outcomes, students in Years 10 - 12 bring their own Windows or Apple laptop to school (the Bring Your Own Laptop program).
